Looks like my blog is turning into weekly or biweekly updates. I have been a busy lady. I have time to blog every night, but not enough time to really let it all out. I like for my blogs to have quality messages and being too tired to really express my true message makes me not blog. My rule: either blog from the heart or don't blog at all.
I went for my 23 week check-up yesterday. I really love my doctor, she is very down to earth and funny. She lets me say or ask anything I want to. This is very rare with my other physicians. We didn't get an ultrasound this month. Next month I will take the glucose assessment. I don't remember it being that bad last time. Other than the initial scare at the beginning of my pregnancy, everything has been going very, very well.
Business wise, things are great. I am developing as an entrepreneur and truly firm manager. I love it! Love it!
I have been eating well and getting plenty of rest. On the exercise front...well, lets just say that ship has sailed for this week at least. With my busy schedule, I just slept right on through my exercise time. Every morning when my 4:30am alarm goes off, I turn it off and turn over. LOL! I am okay with that.
Our church is fasting. We are currently completing a financial fast. We are not to spend any money. We are to refrain from eating out or spending money on unnecessary items. We can purchase necessities for the home such as toiletries, food, and bills; nothing else. We can't purchase items just because we want them. We can not go to the movies, or out to dinner. We can entertain ourselves, but it must not cost any money. Even when you spend money, it must be cash. You are not to use your debit card or credit card. CASH ONLY! I am not one to spend a lot of money, but just because I am participating in the fast, it seems like every fast food place and every little mom and pop shop has been calling my name. I have been craving food that I have not eaten in years. I have wanted to shop in stores that have never appealed to me before. Isn't that so funny how our flesh wants to rule over us! We were also given scripture to read during the 21 day fast. I will share the 1st week with you just in case this is something you may want to do with your family. Here goes:
Day 1 proverb 3:9-10, Day 2 proverbs 22:7, Day 3 I Timothy 6:18, Day 4 proverbs 30:8-9, Day 5 Acts 20:33-35, Day 6 Psalms 37:21 and Day 7 Matthew 12:32-34
This year's goals are on the forefront of my mind. St. Jude, Being a mommy again and other personal goals keep me motivated.
Fred starts school on Wednesday. He has already started reading his books for class. Isn't that something! HE IS FOCUSED AND READY TO GO! I love his excitement. It is so motivating.
My reading for this week is Suze Orman's Women and Money (again) and John Maxwell 360 Leader. I have finally narrowed down my reading time. It was a little overwhelming for me. I feel like I have to read it all in one night, but to balance it all. I will do a little reading every night. Balance and consistency are my goals for this year and I am starting off on the right foot.
Today, we are going to visit Fred's dad and look for a big boy bed for Bug. I really want to buy a set of twin beds. This is what I envision: Fred and Bug sleep in Bug's room in the twin beds until the baby is adjusted to being at home and we all adjust to him. After about 12 to 18 months, of being in a crib in our (mommy and dad's) room, he can go sleep in the second twin bed in his brother's room. Then it will become their room. That way, I won't lose my computer room/office. We plan on moving, but with Fred in school, me in the business, and the new baby, the time is just not right. We want to make an educated decision about where we live. We have to think about schools and neighbors from this point on.
Well, I don't know about quality for this blog, it looks like a whole lot of quantity. Off to my reading...
